Teri Shavoz
Teri, a native Houstonian, graduated from the University of Houston where she studied fine arts at the School of Theatre. Developing a strong theatre background, she made her debut at Houston’s Ensemble Theatre in “Ceremonies in Dark Old Men”, also, at the Ensemble, she performed in a stage reading directed by Ntozake Shange.
Joining forces with other Los Angeles thespians, she helped to create The Los Angeles African American Repertory Theatre Company. With LAARep, Teri performed in the award winning “Girls of Summer” in Los Angeles and off Broadway in New York.
Never limiting her talent, she’s the writer and producer of the short film “SHEROES”. SHEROES was label by Shadow and Act Online News as “one of the most fun shorts” at the Martha’s Vineyard African American film festival in 2009 and featured in Ebony’s Magazine recap of Comicon 2010. Her latest projects are Roommate(s) the Web Series and The Consequences of... a short film.
